Peck Wins Regional Athlete of the Year Award, Six Other Runners Make All-Region Team
 

 
 
 

 
Nate Peck has won four consecutive regional individual titles.

New Orleans, La. - Nate Peck won his fourth straight NCAA Regional individual title and was honored with the Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year award, while head coach Jerry Baltes won the region's Coach of the Year award. The Lakers also placed seven runners on the Great Lakes All-Region Team. The Lakers race next on Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo. in the NCAA National Championships.

The top 15 runners at the regional meet qualify for the all-region team. Peck finished 1st, followed by James Gale (3rd), Robbie Young (4th) and Chris Hammer (5th). Nate Polk (7th) and Grant Fall (8th) also finished in the top 10.

Rounding out the GVSU all-region selections was Ross Faasse, who crossed the line in 15th place.
